On September 18th, 2009, rap artist Del the Funky Homosapien was on his way in to Denver with his crew when his vehicle was hit from behind by a drunk driver.
Del was said to have been sleeping at the time of the accident and was not the driver of the vehicle. A Cadillac Escalade hit them from behind and caused only minor injuries to everyone in the vehicle although Del and one other passenger suffered from whiplash.
Because of the accident, Del had to cancel his tour in Denver, but plans to make to make up the tour date in November.
