On May 24, a 15 year old boy was arrested after he wrecked a car while he was drunk. At 4:31 p.m., police officers were called to the the area of Ninth Ave. and Lashley St. when someone reported several males fighting in a front yard, one of which was reported as carrying a brick.
When officers arrived to the scene, they found the 15 year old sitting on the hood of a car that had visible damage that is presumed to have been caused by an accident.
The police stated that the teenager appeared to be visibly intoxicated. He told the police officers that he had been in a accident when a car rear-ended him. He was then involved in a physical fight with his father when he returned home.
The boy was taken into custody and arrested for suspicion of DUI and driving without a license. The boys father was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
