A man who was recently arrested Grand Junction after a crash that killed 2 people was found to have had a blood-alcohol content of 0.21; 2 1/2 times the legal limit.
20 year old Derrick Maxfield was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide, DUI and several other violations after the crash on Feb. 29th.
Shandi Boetel, 21, and her 6-month-old daughter, Natalia Casiano were killed in the crash. The father of Natalia was injured.
Maxfield is currently being held on $100,000 bond.
