A Grand Junction man was arrested on March 14th after he backed his Jeep out of the garage and hit his 1 year old granddaughter.
Anthony Woods and several other people were working on the 1982 Jeep in the 2700 block of Unaweep Ave. When Woods backed the Jeep out of the garage, the child walked into the path of the Jeep and was struck.
She was unconscious and not breathing when paramedics arrived.
Colorado State Patrol believe alcohol was involved and Woods was arrested for vehicular assault, suspicion of DUI and careless driving.
